We also want to thank you for your thoughts, prayers, and continued patronage during this trying time for myself and my family. I spent 5 1/2 months, dealing with misdiagnosis, trying to save what couldn't be saved and am now recovering from major surgery. According to the doctors it was the best decision we could have made. After the recovery period is complete, I'll be able to devote much more time to the website and store. Yes this means that orders will be sent out in a much more timely manner. BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!!! We will be shutting down the website, retail store, and other sales venues sometime toward the end of January or February for a period of 2 weeks. That's because there's been little to nothing new to tell you. So we had to create our own excitement. <<< Website >>> Due to an error on our part, we accidentally erased all of our inventory from the site. We've been working tirelessly over the last few days to get it back. Unfortunately we couldn't make it totally accurate. But don't worry, worst case scenario, we actually have more than what we actually show. To celebrate the fact that our site is back up, we've instituted a discount code. Short track, 62'+ per lane Tomy AFX, sits on a 16' x 4' with a 4' "L". It is our road course and was originally designed for Tjets. Of course we run other classes on it as well. Long track, 92'+ per lane Tomy AFX, sits on a 24' x 4'. It is our speed track that was used for the Nats several years ago. We run any and all classes on it. We have organized racing on Friday nights. Come join us if you can. Doors open at 5pm, tech at 7pm, racing at 7:30pm. We're there until we get all of the races finished and beyond. Our current classes that we run are: Tyco 440-X2 narrow chassis with either Lamborghini or '79 Corvette bodies. Bicycle fronts, double-flange rear wheels with silicone tires are allowed. Everything else must remain stock. Our house class is a Viper level 4 chassis with a SG+ F1 body. The chassis is built with 100% Viper parts which include SG+ upgrade kit (chassis, timing bracket, level 4 traction magnets, magnet clip), 6-ohm armature, standard end bell, bicycle front (.344), 7T pinion gear, rear axle setup (23T crown gear, t-boss, .250 double-flange hubs, .432 silicone tires). Old products have been discontinued and new products have been announced. Many part number changes as well. Sadly, no product expected until after the 1st of the year. Here is a list of changes... they will be added to the site as soon as we get approximate arrival dates. --- Discontinued --- All existing part numbers as we know them... no more needs to be said at this time. Once current inventory is sold out then there will be no more with those numbers. Why you ask? What happened? Read on... --- Changes --- Multiple things have occurred which has forced major changes in the entire product line. Factory issues didn't help but what really caused the most issues were the government regulators. They decided that no product could be sold until they reduced the electrical noise coming from the existing chassis, track, power packs, and controllers. Because it interfered with some existing devices. How was this issue resolved? Read on... The Mega-G+ Chassis has been announced... Yup that's correct... a newly redesigned chassis will now be available. They've gone through extensive testing and several iterations of tweaks and adjustments and produced a chassis with the following characteristics: --- Completely sealed motor utilizing pure carbon brushes which last 2-3 times longer than the existing brush system --- Motor has 30% more torque and has only a 3% consistency variance compared to 16% today --- Motor runs much cooler at about 85 degrees which allows it to last longer --- Mini transistor card in front of motor to deaden the noise with only 1 wire connecting it to the motor --- Completely new pick-up shoe design which allows them to rest against the track right out of the package. They are wider and are raised on both sides making them just rigid enough to keep them steady. --- Guide pin has been moved forward giving it better handling in the curves --- Rear axle can now be placed in the chassis in either direction... guess some have asked for that --- Redundancy in the electrical pickup area so you won't lose power should one connection be lost --- Neo traction magnets have been lowered for additional handling in the corners --- Chassis is 5% lighter than the old one --- Overall much more reliable and consistent Does the new chassis requires some body changes? Yes and No F1 bodies have been modified due to the size of the motor. Front wing has been narrowed. Tabs have been raised by 1mm. Part of the inside have been removed and adjusted to fit over the motor. Unfortunately, the old F1 bodies will not fit the new chassis. All other bodies require no changes and can be used on the new chassis.
